Description

Amazon is looking for an innovative, customer obsessed brand builder to lead the ongoing evolution of our Marketing function in Amazon Fashion, who is able to drive increased relevance and engagement in our stores and customer offering.

At Amazon Fashion, our mission is to become the primary destination for customers buying Softlines product in the JP. Our success is predicated on strategic planning, inclusive of building our multi-year strategy, seasonal plan, media planning and driving integration across our technology, innovation and category leadership teams.

This role leads a team in using marketing and insights to create shopping experiences that delight customers. This leader is responsible for driving customer acquisition, engagement (frequency of shopping, basket building) and retention. The ideal candidate must be able to think strategically and execute flawlessly. He or she must have strong communication skills and be able to influence cross-functional partners. He or she must be able to accurately forecast trends, think big and galvanize an organization around a central strategy. He or she must be a steadfast brand protector who always puts the customer at the center and focuses on brand and messaging continuity. He or she will have a diverse and proven track record of building brands and delivering results.

The ideal candidate will utilize a data-driven approach to create and optimize sophisticated marketing programs, structure marketing plans, including seasonal and media plans, collaboration with brands and vendors, and be able to pivot based in in-market performance. This individual will excel in managing and navigating cross-functional efforts and be a customer advocate in all forums.

You must be a self-starter with strong analytical ability, attention to detail, excellent communication skills and an ability to drive innovative programs involving multiple stakeholders. In this role you will be expected to flex both analytical skills and creative muscles.

Key job responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead Amazon Fashion's marketing function, including our financial planning and long-term planning over three year horizon.

• Build a world class marketing team, overseeing the product management, marketing strategy, site merchandising plans.

• Develop the seasonal plans that cascade from our strategic long term plans and align the organization around top priorities and in-quarter initiatives.

• Build a long-term plan for awareness driving initiatives across Amazon Fashion overall and our new Softlines programs.

• Create and drive a customer acquisition and retention plan including strategies to test and learn optimal ways to drive qualified traffic and increase customer lifetime value.

• Partner with our global counterparts to drive sharing and efficiency.

• Be the voice of the customer and lead all positioning and research centrally and partner with our segmentation teams to ensure research becomes an actionable and measure-able component of our plan.

• Inspire the team through Think Big ideas and Customer Obsession.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience managing teams

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

  • Track record of delivering innovative solutions in ambiguous situations.

  • Strong analytical and creative skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage or partner closely with technical teams.

  • MBA
