About the Team

As a potential job applicant considering a role at Nutanix, you would be joining the Residency Services team in Japan, as a part of a global organization, where you will be following the lead of a Manager of Professional Services Japan. The team culture is focused on providing value that exceeds customer expectations and aims to shorten the return on investment for Nutanix’s clients. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented and dedicated team that collaborates closely to achieve common goals.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Professional Services Japan and work in a hybrid setup, where you are required to be in the office 2-3 days per week. This arrangement allows for a balance between collaborative in-person work and the flexibility to work remotely. Additionally, the role may require 20-40% travel, including visits to domestic client sites. There may also be exciting opportunities to travel overseas for internal team events or training sessions, providing a global perspective and fostering cross-cultural collaboration within the organization.

Your Role

  • Participate to customer's IT team (both onsite and remote) and be recognized as a leading member of Nutanix product operation and administration

  • Clarify and certainly comprehend customer's short & long term IT objectives or OLA and align yourself to your day-to-day activities.

  • Assisting customer's IT leader to plan strategic operation for their Nutanix environment by leveraging extensive knowledge for Nutanix products & features.

  • Be responsible for providing excellent Nutanix operational experience and ensure Residential Services being enough satisfied with.

  • Leverage your Nutanix IP reachability by getting help from architect/SMEs to blend Nutanix best practices and accelerate adoption and expansion of their Nutanix environment.

  • Be a self-starter actively assume, assess, and identify possible areas of improvement in customer's existing operation model, and suggest that would be a benefit.

  • Collaborates with the Nutanix Sales Team in identifying and communicating new opportunities as well as ongoing customer status and reporting.

  • Required to participating to practice development, soft and technical skill development to keep up with rapidly growing industry.

  • A part of your workload may cover related Nutanix service offerings or spot engagements outside of Residency based on your management's direction.

What You Will Bring

  • Sound experience of minimum 5 - 8 years in IT enterprise system administration team owning individual and team OKR.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with virtualization and Linux environment.

  • Experience driving IT operation projects as PL/PM role even the project size is small.

  • Participate in planning and hands-on execution of the critical operational events of enterprise IT infrastructure like :

  • PoC, Deployment, installation, configuration, V2V and P2V Migration, expansion

  • SW/FW Upgrades and patching

  • DR planning, setting, restoration

  • Experience for troubleshooting and escalation with vendors as customer-IT side (acting in a vendor-side position is a plus).

  • Experience in working in SIer in Japan and/or Professional Services (especially Managed Services organization) at software companies are preferred.

  • Understanding of modern enterprise storage and cloud technologies as well as general IT infrastructure.

  • An individual who is patient and professional, with an impassioned desire to learn new technologies and grow your skill set, committed to the end result, having founder's mentality.

  • Strong ability for documentation, presentation, business meeting organizing & facilitation with post-action management.

  • Customer centric approach, excellent verbal and written communication skills with proactiveness that leads to excellent business relationships.

  • Native spoken and written Japanese as well as Reading and Writing level English skills are mandatory.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory (A Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems are preferred).

  • Industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VCAP, VCIX, CCNA, CCIA and RHCE are preferred
