This position is an opportunity in AMZL within the DSP (Delivery Service Partners) Pricing function, responsible for the development of both existing and new pricing processes and mechanisms. We are looking for a candidate who is ready to roll up their sleeves and own strategic programs and initiatives using core analytical, pricing product development, and project management skills. The projects this person would own will directly influence our partners experience with Amazon across our entire network.

Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is highly enthusiastic, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams to solve ambiguous challenges. Key job responsibilities

· Execute strategic programs and initiatives that contribute to network growth and expansion, supporting the compensation structure for delivery partners across Japan and APAC.

· Implement and optimize processes and mechanisms to address existing operational challenges, facilitating scalable solutions for our growing business.

· Perform detailed root cause analyses to assess the financial health of delivery partners, and assist in developing scalable analytical processes.

· Compile and analyze key metrics for program updates, preparing clear and concise reports with data-driven insights for senior leadership review.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in partner compensation and network efficiency.

· Assist in the development and implementation of new incentive programs aimed at improving partner retention and performance.

· Conduct regular market research to stay informed about competitive practices and industry trends in last-mile delivery across Japan and APAC.

· Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards and tools for monitoring partner financial health and program effectiveness.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of data collection and analysis methodologies to enhance decision-making processes.

· Participate in cross-functional projects, providing expertise on partner compensation and network growth strategies.

A day in the life

In this role, you will focus on implementing and maintaining pricing rules and tenets that support our strategic vision for network growth in Japan and APAC. You'll contribute to the development of pricing products and processes, and assist in automating pricing procedures to facilitate network expansion.

While a background in Logistics is not required, you should possess:

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to manage complex projects with attention to detail

· Clear communication style and effective stakeholder management

· Capability to present data-driven recommendations to business partners and leadership

· Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment

About the team

The AMZL DSP Pricing function is responsible for developing and maintaining DSP pricing structure, amount and methodology. It is part of the rapidly growing DSP Programs team which works to optimize our end-to-end relationships with the partners who deliver directly to our customers.

This is a hands-on low-ego team that works closely and collaboratively to improve continuously. With a high degree of mutual trust and support, we always propose a new way of working and new solution. We develop our people, expand our knowledge, share, evolve and get things done, together!

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech / non-tech teams

  • Experience defining and implementing programs / process improvement initiatives using data and metrics

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level

  • Business level of English

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • Experience driving process improvements

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Business level of Japanese

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
