As cloud computing and AI become the mainstream of IT, and the IT strategies of our customers in the digital services industry are drastically changing, this is a great opportunity to help our customer grow and transform their businesses, and to drive and experience new cloud journeys with our customer.

This position will enable you to become familiar with technology trends and decision-making processes specific to the digital services industry, engage with CTOs/IT architects as well as CXOs, and gain a variety of experiences to become a business partner that enables our customer's transformation in their activities.

Key job responsibilities

  • Increase sales of assigned accounts. Achieve quarterly and full year targets. Strategize and execute a comprehensive account planning over the short, medium and long term. Maintain a strong sales pipeline.

  • Create, promote and propose solutions for AWS services with a clear value proposition.

  • Deepen CXO engagement and become a trusted advisor to customers from business issues to cloud application.

  • Build long-term, strategic relationships with key counterparts to ensure customer’s AWS satisfaction.

  • Promote Japan-based communication in English and approach to overseas offices in line with customer's global expansion.

A day in the life

In this position, you will lead the promotion of AWS usage and business expansion while supporting the promotion of digital transformation and cloud journey for customers in the digital services industry.

Your customers are already using AWS for their digital transformation and have a variety of business challenges. You will be responsible for strategic engagement with customers to further utilize AWS, and support and educate them on the use of cloud computing and AI in their digital transformation, in order to solve their issues and achieve business success.

Furthermore, since the customer you will be in charge of is a top account with global operations, will be responsible for communicating in English, proposing appropriate solutions for overseas operations, sharing strategies with the team through account plans and other means to ensure a common understanding, and executing tactical actions based on these strategies. The basic tasks of this position are to share these strategies with the team through account plans, etc., and to execute tactical actions based on these strategies. In addition to sales activities such as numerical management, you will also be responsible for high-level executive engagement, coordinating internal stakeholders, and most importantly, helping our customers transform their businesses.

About the team

Our sales team that supports the development of cloud utilization strategies, including AI, and the execution of cloud journeys. The team is also focused on promoting digital transformation and becoming a business partner for our customers, as there is a growing need to create new business beyond cloud utilization.

We have established account teams for specific customers, and in addition to the Solution Architect responsible for the customer, we work with AWS global resources, including specialists in each AWS service and industry, as well as industry experts to contribute to the customer's business. In addition to the sales activities based on their past experience in the IT industry, the team members are taking on the new challenge of proposing cloud services, which are continuing to grow, expand rapidly and globally.

The team consists of members with diverse experiences, including those with long experience in the digital services industry and those with long experience in the IT industry, as well as those with long experience in enterprise companies.

New members will receive the training necessary to become core members of the team, as well as shadowing with team members (and on-the-job training) to ensure that they are accepted as cloud services professionals.

We are looking for someone who can support our clients in the digital services industry in their digital transformation and cloud journey, promote AWS usage, and lead the expansion of their business.

Basic Qualifications

  • More than 10 to 15 years of IT related sales or business development experience

  • Direct sales experience with enterprise customers

  • Business level of verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical background in engineering, computers, information technology, etc.

  • Experience selling to large customers, including account planning development and execution

  • Extensive relationship of customer’s contacts
