How will you make an impact in this role?
The Manager position is based in Tokyo, and is responsible for the financial reporting of main legal entities in US GAAP and Japan GAAP, Card Portfolio reporting, Ledger governance, business & enterprise projects, and Japan market regulatory reporting activities and tax support. The Manager role reports to the Market Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the entities’ balance sheet and Profit & Loss
Responsible for on-time delivery of the monthly and quarterly financial reports
Closely work with tax team and consultants and provide accounting and tax advisory support
Manage the external audit to deliver an efficient and effective audit
Review and deliver the financial data and business reports to the Japan market regulators
Support business & enterprise projects as subject matter expert in accounting and reporting requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years finance accounting experience
CPA qualified
Solid understanding of US GAAP and Japan GAAP
Strong command of English and Japanese
Create a positive team environment
Ability to manage tight deadlines & multiple priorities in agile environment
Able to communicate key messages clearly, succinctly and with confidence to all level including senior management
Challenge the status quo, questions current approaches
Identify and action opportunities to enhance process effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
