Description and Requirements

Product Planning and Project Management for JP Telco Product launching.

■Role

In this position, you will be responsible for product management and marketing of mobile products such as tablets, AR/VR devices, IoT products, etc. under Lenovo and Lavie brands, and contribute to maximizing business from a product perspective.

• You will understand the requirements from customers and the market, and collaborate with consumer/commercial business units, Telco business units, and other related departments to create a portfolio and roadmap of Mobile Products.

• Based on the requirements, you will create product specifications, coordinate with the Development/Planning department on the specifications, and work with the Development department to advance product development projects. You will also conduct verification of product quality, reporting of issues, and negotiation of issue resolution with Telco and commercial clients.

• You will solve the technical requests from customers and partners in collaboration with Development and related departments.

• For products for Telco(Mobile Network Operator), you will align the requirements with the Telco and negotiate to launch the products. You will also work with the Development department to plan a product portfolio based on the requirements.

•Telco Business Sales / Business Development Team

•Sales Strategy Team (Consumer / Commercial)

•Mobile Business Group(Product Development / Planning / Operation ): China / Taiwan

■Must Have – essential

•More than 10 years of experience in product planning and development of mobile products (tablets, smartphones)

•Communication skills with business partners such as Telco (Japanese Mobile Network Operators) and Commercial Clients

•Basic technical knowledge of mobile products and strategic planning skills

•Communication and negotiation skills with global R&D team

•Business-level English skills (able to conduct business conversations and emails in English without any problems)

■Good to have – desirable

•More than 10 years of experience in product planning and development of mobile products for Telco service providers

•Product concept and product planning skills

•Technical skills related to the architecture and implementation of HW, SW, and App for mobile products

•Business-level Chinese language skills (able to conduct business conversations and emails in Chinese without any problems)
