Main responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:

This role is an integral part of the cross-functional process supporting Sales and GTN forecasting, reporting & analysis for the Japan CHC business. This position will work across various organizational stakeholders to increase predictability of monthly sales and GTN actuals, forecast/budgets.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Along with a peer finance business partner, be responsible for Gross Sales, GTN, and Net sales lines impacting the Japan CHC business. This includes leading and enhancing the net sales forecasting process, strategic plan, budget, and forecasts

  • Business partnering and decision support for revenue management, deal analytics, access strategy, and impact of business segments/financials; Returns, Chargebacks & Other Rebates

  • Responsible for GTN Finance presentations and analyses to Senior Leadership

  • Meet regularly with key stakeholders, including Head of Commercial and Head of e-Commerce to understand the changing market dynamics that present challenges and risks to GTN strategy

  • Partner with Trade Revenue Management to simulate price increases, to achieve optimal trade terms in terms of cashflow (DSO management), and translate trade terms and business mix into Sales and GTN assumptions

  • Partner with e-Commerce team to establish an optimal reporting and analytical process and provide a meaningful analysis that supports the fast-growing channel

  • Contribute to the monthly Integrated Business Planning (“IBP”) process owned by Supply Chain Business Partners

  • Report monthly sales landing with accuracy to the regional Finance counterpart, which requires collaboration with Trade Revenue Management and Supply Chain Business Partners

  • Compute and create journal entries related to Sales and GTN

  • Support internal and external audits and inquiries

  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects and/or task-force activities relevant to the skillset

About you:

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

  • MBA and/or CPA is preferred

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • diversified financial/accounting experience

  • experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (“FMCG”) industry

MAJOR SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Self-driven; Ability to plan and operate autonomously with adequate posting to seniors

  • Strong analytical capabilities and a healthy critical-thinking mindset

  • Understand macroeconomic trends and impacts on business

  • Ability to present and provide guidance to senior leaders

  • Ability to work harmoniously with teammates

  • Experience with TM1 (or a similar financial analytics tool) and SAP preferred

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (including pivot tables, macros, Power BI, etc)

  • Fluency in business English and Japanese, both written and spoken
