Job Title: Business Development Manager, Corporate

Location: Tokyo, JapanPosition Overview:As a Business Development Manager at LexisNexis Legal & Professional, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth by identifying and acquiring new business opportunities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to expand our customer base and increase revenue. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and results-oriented professional with a proven track record of success in SaaS, AI and consulting sales and business development.Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential clients and market segments to generate new business leads.

  • Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to engage prospective clients and decision-makers.

  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to understand their business needs and pain points.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to tailor solutions to client requirements.

  • Prepare and present compelling proposals, presentations, and demonstrations to showcase the value of our service offerings.

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to close deals and meet sales targets.

  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, including pipeline activity, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts.

  • Stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and market trends.

  • Continuously seek feedback from clients to drive product enhancements and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Represent LexisNexis at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and generate leads.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.

  • Proven track record of success in SaaS, AI and consulting sales and business development, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, technologies, and industry trends.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop actionable plans to capitalize on them.

  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales productivity tools.
