Sanofi Group Agile coach in Tokyo, Japan

Purpose of the role:

The Agile Coach leads the implementation our CFOM (Customer First Operating Model) transformation journey. As an Agile Coach, you will guide cross-functional teams, from commercial to people in HQ including marketing, customer experience and GTMC through the adoption of an agile and customer centric operating model. This role will be instrumental in embedding a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring resilience and adaptability to evolving organizational and market changes.

Job description:

  • Coach and mentor teams in agile best practices and methodologies

  • Collaborate with leaders and teams to build and maintain effective agile governance, processes and ways of working

  • Facilitate CFOM transformation with a proficient level of understanding around digital/omnichannel tools and frameworks

  • Lead change management processes in the organization

  • Identify pain points in existing workflows and provide strategic solutions to streamline CFOM operations

  • Work closely with commercial teams, GTMC, marketing, medical and other cross functional teams to support the implementation of CFOM tactics

  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enable teams and leaders in agile and CFOM principles

  • Implement ways of measuring CFOM implementation success (dashboard, surveys, KPI’s) and communicate progress as well as recommendations to senior leadership on a regular basis

Empowerment & Customer Centricity

  • Empower teams closest to the customer to own and make decisions, increasing their autonomy and level of accountability towards team results

  • Encourage the adoption of lean principles to improve efficiency and product quality.

  • Facilitate the adoption of an agile governance (e.g., Sprint review, retrospective session, daily-weekly stands up) and support teams to continuously and proactively reflect and adapt their ways of working

  • Introduce and empower teams and leaders to adopt the spirit of an entrepreneurial mindset, experimenting and trying to identify new ways

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Implement ways of working and processes to achieve a collective understanding of customer needs across functions (commercial, marketing, medical, GTMC) to generate maximum value

  • Empower teams to openly share their new ways of working and best practices

  • Build strong relationships across departments, acting as a liaison between commercial, headquarter and leadership members in GenMed

III – COMPETENCIES AND SKILLSET

Special Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Prior pharmaceutical industry experience with the ability to navigate the balance between innovation and legacy

  • Experience in leading transformations and organizational change processes in large, complex organizations (preferably agile and digital transformations)

  • First experience Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, preferably with certifications (e.g. Scrum master certificate)

  • Strong Project Management skills with prior project management experience

  • Ability to strongly communicate and articulate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing

  • First experience in facilitation of workshops with a strong ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization

  • Experience in leveraging digital tools and platforms to optimize Agile practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset

  • Ability to navigate the complexities of both digital and business processes in a regulated environment

  • Preferred: prior experience in a commercial (sales) or marketing role

IV – EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of working experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, science or a related field master's degree preferred with a strong record of academic achievement.

  • Both English and Japanese language skills. Ability to communicate and articulate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing
