Your role at Clorox:

The North Latam Clorox Accounting Manager will be leading all full-cycle monthly and annual core accounting and finance disciplines for the company ensuring compliance with local GAAP, US GAAP, and corporate policies. Provide finance leadership and financial analysis support to the business, reporting to corporate and lead internal and external audit matters. This position will manage a group of 4-6 accountants and will provide oversight, guidance, coaching and development. The role reports to the Regional North Latam Controller.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the divisional accounting department.

  • Take responsibility for accounts in the Balance Sheet and P&L, allocations, check runs, and more.

  • Review schedules and reconcile various general ledger accounts; i.e., cash, Intercompany Accounts, accrued expenses and liabilities, equity, etc. Blackline desirable.

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.

  • Manage reporting to corporate and assist in the consolidation process in HFM.

  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Provide information to internal and external auditors and participate in annual audit (as needed).

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures and ensure the timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy of information used to prepare internal and external financial reporting.

  • Oversee the North Latam team to ensure standardization of processes and timely and accurate month- and year-end closings of accounting transactions in compliance with US GAAP, NIF & IFRS standards across the region.

  • Work closely with P&A team on reporting efforts related to senior leadership presentations to report actuals.

  • Work very closely with the Tax team to make sure that accounting and tax information is correct in both domains (accounting and tax) and the base information is the same.

  • Foster a culture of strong financial discipline and business integrity. Promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. Identify and drive process improvement initiatives across NL countries.

  • Lead the monthly professional services legal billing process, from NLATAM countries to US and LATAM companies.

What we look for:

  • 5+ years’ in accounting with relevant/similar experience.

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, Mex GAAP and IFRS and financial statements

  • Experience with maintaining policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • SAP and HFM systems experience preferred.

  • Excellent excel skills required. Power BI experience preferred.

  • Leadership in automatization of processes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluent English.

  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Analytical problem solver with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and excellent report-writing and social skills.
