To help achieve our business plans, Bruce Power currently has an opportunity available for a Civil Maintainer I fully qualified Plumber.
The successful candidate will be determined by their qualifications and relevant maintenance experience.
This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a competitive benefits, compensation and pension package and is located on site in Tiverton, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
On shift or day basis, is responsible to carry out the duties of a Civil Maintainer I, which include:
Operation of portable tools and equipment
Provides and receives information by work plans, sketches and written reports
Carries out good housekeeping and fire prevention practices in the performance of the work
Performs any other duty within the intent of the Preamble of the Occupation Definition
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must be capable and willing, to successfully complete all training requirements of the position including, nuclear "Yellow/Green" qualification in radiation protection
Candidates must qualify as a Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW)
Candidates must be able to work in a radioactive environment, at heights, in confined spaces and hot/noisy areas
Able to demonstrate that the individual values the role and is committed to it
Education and Experience
Candidates require an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent as recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education
Candidate must hold a valid Plumber Certificate of Qualification through the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities (attach a copy of Certificate to the application)
