Operations Program Manager

The Satellites Programs US office serves a diverse and growing customer base within DoD, commercial, and civil space. This position will manage programs from proposal, negotiation, execution, and delivery regarding quality, schedule, cost and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Deputy to the Director of Programs by supporting all activities related to the programmatic and operational needs of the site
• Owns the overall responsibility for an assigned program(s) (programmatic, financial, technical), within the framework agreed with the customer
• Supports the creation of technical proposals, including cost- and schedule estimates for future projects
• Supports the estimation of project cost, process times, and schedule during proposal phase
• Lead project teams, targeting contract compliant execution of all relevant tasks and elaboration of all technical deliverables within the financial and timing boundary conditions
• Identify and ensure the relevant communication flow within projects-team
• Identify, categorize, estimate, track, document and mitigate risks
• Actively maintain lessons learned during both sell and project execution phases
• Drive improvements within projects, to create value both in the short and long term
• Direct all production related activities and flow within the manufacturing area to include direct management of the Operations function, Quality function,
• Direct and managing the training and cross-training activities of all direct labor employees.
• Ensure that work areas comply with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Communicate with employees concerning performance expectations, productivity and accountability.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree, Technical background preferred
• 7-10 years experience as a Program Manager within the aerospace industry
• Masters' Degree with 5+yrs exp, preferred
• MES / ERP systems experience regarding data control and document uploading, SAP preferred
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving skills.
• Organization skills
• Operational Management experience, preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, preferred
• SAP experience, preferred
• Root cause analysis skills for corrective actions, preferred
