Job Title: Forklift Operators
Job Description
You will be trained to operate a forklift to move products around the production facility. Your main task will be to pick up products with the forklift and transport them to their necessary destinations, which may include a staging area for production, a storage area, or a truck for shipping. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the production line has enough product to keep running, moving and emptying racks, loading and reloading packers, and wrapping/packaging products as needed. Some computer skills will be needed until the system is updated. We will be conducting interviews starting this week.
Responsibilities
Operate a forklift to move products within the production facility.
Transport glass products to various destinations such as staging areas, storage areas, or trucks for shipping.
Ensure the production line has a consistent supply of products.
Move and empty racks and load and reload packers.
Wrap and package products as necessary.
Get on and off the forklift to adjust and manage tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
Forklift operation
Material handling
Basic computer skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Forklift experience (preferred but not required)
Material handling experience (preferred but not required)
Manufacturing labor/production experience (highly preferred)
RF scanner knowledge
Shipping and receiving experience
Stand-up forklift experience
Work Environment
The work environment is a typical manufacturing facility that is clean and well laid out. While the temperature can be cooler in the winter and hotter in the summer, all work is conducted indoors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tipton, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
