Warehouse and Facilities Manager

Goodheart-Willcox Publisher, Experts in Career and Technical Education (CTE) and an employee-

owned company, is seeking a Warehouse and Facilities Manager to join our grown company. This

position will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the warehouse and distribution

functions that ensure a seamless flow of our product and materials. This position is on-site 5 days

per week in our Tinley Park, Illinois office.

Our compensation is market based and takes into account a variety of factors including the

candidates skill set, experience level, internal equity, and location. For this position, we anticipate

the starting salary falling between \$96,000 - \$120,000 per year. In addition, the company makes a

10% contribution to the Employee Stock Ownership Plan and a 4% matching contribution to the

401(k).

What youll do:

Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, returns

processing, cycle counting, floor and flow rack space management, outbound and inbound

logistics, bundling and unbundling operations.

Monitor key performance indicators to ensure meeting internal and external customer

service levels. Small package orders are shipped within 4 hours; LTL orders are shipped

within 8 hours.

Select, engage, and manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and contractors. Negotiate

agreements to achieve companys service and cost management goals.

Develop warehouse and facilities operating and capital budgets.

Manage relationships with building service providers and manage preventative

maintenance program.

What youll bring:

Minimum of 7 years of international distribution/warehouse management experience

required.

Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience required.

Strong technology acumen and experience implementing process improvements.

Prior purchasing, contract negotiation, and financial budgeting and management

responsibilities required.

NetSuite ERP or SoloChain WMS experience is a plus.

ASCM or ISM certifications in Logistics, Distribution, or Supply Chain Management is a plus.

and accuracy.

Strong interpersonal, cross-functional collaboration, negotiation, and conflict management

skills.
