Sensata Technologies, Inc. Supply Inventory Management Professional in Tijuana, Mexico

The SIOP integration team within Sensata’s Global Operations organization is seeking an individual who has a proven Supply planning background to run the Supply and Inventory Management process across multiple product families.

The incumbent will be responsible to deploy and run Sensata’s Product Family SIM process which provides a strong linkage between the Business Unit decision making and operational execution to achieve on-time delivery to requested date, inventory, capacity, operating margins and revenue commitments, while ensuring that fully considered risks are resolved or escalated within the full SIOP process.

This role will run the execution of Sensata’s inventory strategy, balance the demand and supply cross multiple make site to provide consistent inputs and outputs to the specific Product Family Supply Planning process, run the Supply Review meeting and ensure cross-functional communication of information, which will support and lead to timely demand and supply decisions, execution, and closure of all escalations.

General Responsibilities

  • Leads in the creation of future capacity plans

  • Handles any communication with marketing, manufacturing and customer service to ensure accuracy and efficiency of message

  • Leads in defining an integrated supply chain to produce sustained, timely performance on all accounts

  • Leads in the measuring and monitoring of specific product / program categories

  • Leads in creating a demand plan that will be used throughout the company in regards to supply planning

  • Leads in in-depth analysis with large amounts of data to run various statistics and analyses on the company to help future predictability of demand planning

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Key Accountabilities:

  • Run the product family Supply and Inventory planning process

  • Implement a Master Production Schedule and communicate financial or KPI risks throughout the end to end SIOP process

  • Work with make sites planning teams to develop robust process to improve delivery performance while optimizing inventory

  • Create scenario plans to balance demand and supply across multiple sites / production lines

  • Execute customer, product and business priorities in the SIM process

  • Develop an inventory plan that will support inventory targets through appropriate parameter settings including safety stock and master scheduling static data.

  • Coordinate operations functions to provide regular guidance and inputs to the Supply Planning process in order to improve execution

  • Conduct and facilitate what-if analysis to create alternate scenarios for reconciling demand and supply with the financial plan.

  • Run the monthly Supply Review meeting and fully resolve escalations from Demand Reviews work with make site planning leader to ensure site has a robust process for identifying and resolving all supply constraints equipment capacity, labor and materials

  • Drive key improvement projects with make site planning and operation teams to improve supply chain performance. Provide thought leadership in solving complex supply planning challenges.

  • Facilitate product lifecycle visibility in the SIOP process, coordinate capacity solutions and manage phase-in and phase-out inventory risks.

  • Owns the Supply Review preparation and creates accountability for accuracy in the SIOP process taking careful consideration of Product Lifecycle planning, on time delivery and inventory results.

  • Runs the monthly Supply Review meetings, ensuring inputs and outputs are clearly articulated and drives performance to targets, mitigating any risks and resolving issues throughout.

  • Helps to create an energy and enthusiasm in the supply planning process

  • Process and Data Orientation

  • Clearly understands a high volume of data and able to interpret and present to support decision making

  • Experience in using problem-solving tools and techniques to create improvements.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, supply chain, engineering, economics or equivalent discipline.

  • 5+ years work experience with relevance to supply planning, master planning and inventory planning.

  • Previous experience working with global environment.

  • An analytical mind with attention to detail and an ability to interpret data for decision making.

  • A passion to succeed and challenge the status quo where value adding.

  • Advanced Planning System experience preferred (ASCP, APO, Kinaxis, JDA, etc.)

  • Supply chain certifications and six sigma experience is a plus
