Eaton Corporation Program Manager in Tijuana, Mexico

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Program Manager.

What you’ll do:

The role will provide onsite support for product delivery and quality performance improvements, specific to the sheet metal clamps/flange product line. Role will lead cross functional teams to drive front end focus to operations team in Tijuana, ensuring the appropriate prioritization of program/customer critical parts and communication of status to various customers and key stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for defining program/customer statement of work and establishing past due burndown plans.

• Monitor focus customers demand signals and work with customer service and demand management teams to level load and address gaps.

• Manage effective customer communications, customer expectations, and contractual commitments. Support customer exec level meetings and communications regarding status of recovery efforts

• Engage/escalate to on-site leadership for support in proactively addressing or responding to customer concerns.

• Engage in Tier process each morning, make sure that the priority and customer capacity allocation is clear throughout the cell, and that if there are long term improvement actions, the team is addressing and progressing, if stalled, escalating to get clarity on why

• Facilitates creation of detailed Line of Balance for focus customers and assign inchstone creation for critical parts.

• Reviews with supply chain the portfolio supply shortages and action plans to address.

• Manages a central location for information sharing to provide the necessary feedback for customer service to update the customer.

• Supports a cadence of team meetings/ one-on-ones with operational leadership to communicate challenges faced and work collaboratively on actionable resolutions.

• Advocate support needed in Tijuana, whether it be capital, staff, equipment, etc., to add value to the operations team and support burndown execution.

• Direct and indirect management of customer-focused team personnel.

• Promotes the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.

• Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.

Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution - Engineering.

• 3 – 6 years’ experience in a management position within a manufacturing/industrial engineering, project management, or related fields required.

• Advanced English – language capability, speaking, reading & writing required.

• Broad technical knowledge in the areas of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, plant engineering, production/materials planning.

• Knowledge of behavioral science, including the ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels.

• Strong leadership skills - must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• This position requires some travel.

• At least 2 years’ experience in program management.

• It requires the use management skills, act as a liaison for associates at all levels.

• Support continuous improvement efforts to meet and exceed customer requirements in a fast-paced environment.

• Participate and assist in meeting all plant Environmental Health and Safety objectives.

• Develop and implement positive employee relations (Eaton Philosophy) to encourage employee involvement and to create an environment in which employees see no need for third party intervention.

• Ability to work & lead in a highly matrixes environment.
