Jamie Benway with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team based in Tigard, Oregon. The chosen candidate will be entrusted with the management of our accounting department and will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This role is critical to maintaining our status as a leader in the transportation industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month and year-end closing processes, including the preparation and review of financial statements

• Liaise with external CPA firms as necessary

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations in a timely manner

• Manage daily cash flows and perform bank account reconciliations

• File tax and compliance reports such as B& O, Excise, Personal Property, WUTC, ODOT, and other motor carrier reports

• Supervise a small accounting team to ensure efficient workflow

• Utilize accounting software such as Microsoft Navision to streamline accounting processes

• Use advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and generate reports

• Communicate effectively with all organizational levels

• Leverage previous accounting experience in a service industry to enhance departmental operations.

Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounting Manager/Supervisor role

• Proficient in ADP - Financial Services is essential

• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) is preferred

• Must be skilled in various accounting functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Familiarity with General Ledger management is required

• Ability to perform month-end closings and reconciliations is necessary

• Experience in managing accounting operations across multiple sites is beneficial.
