Duties: Care for established lawns by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, aerating, weeding, removing thatch, litter, leaves and debris. Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to plant trees, shrubs, flowers, lay sod and install sprinkler systems. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, foliage and deadhead flowers. Spray or spread fertilizers, and herbicides onto trees, shrubs, foliage or lawns using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders. Provide proper upkeep to flower beds, sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, pruners and shears. May operate vehicles and/or powered equipment, such as work trucks with small utility trailers, small tractors, mowers, trimmers, aerators, sod cutters, edgers, and leaf blowers & other related Landscape Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org).
Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50 lbs
Work days: Days vary Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm. Days and hours may vary. 40 hours/week at $18.96 - 22.00/hr. Possible OT at $28.44 - 33.00/hr. No education required or experience required. On-the-job (OJT) training will be provided.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid Weekly on Wednesday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
