UCLA Health Surgical Technician - Ambulatory Surgery Center - Thousand Oaks in Thousand Oaks, California
Description
Prepare for surgical procedures by collecting and checking supplies and instrument trays. Scrub and set up sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures following departmental standards. Maintains sterile field following standards for counts, medication, specimens, and safety precautions. Assist in central processing area as required. Responsible for other related duties as required.
Salary Range: 35.71-47.10Qualifications
Required:
Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technologist program or Certified Surgical Technologist with more than two years of experience, required
Minimum 2 years hospital or ambulatory perioperative experience, required
BLS Card from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required
Ability to work at multiple Ambulatory Surgery Center locations
Ability to move heavy objects, apply aseptic technique to use a variety of operating instruments and equipment.
Ability to handle equipment carefully and safely, and stand for a long period of time.
Preferred:
Ability to demonstrate current possession of a National Certificate for Surgical Scrub Technician
Experience in MPU/GI Lab procedures
Experience with sterile processing
