Crystal Mountain Executive Sous Chef in Thompsonville, Michigan

AN ONLINE CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED FOR FULL CONSIDERATION OF THIS POSITION Crystal Mountain is currently hiring Executive Sous Chef is responsible for assisting the executive chef in ensuring all resort guests have the highest quality culinary experience possible while maintaining a profitable restaurant, banquet and outlet operation. This is a full time/year round benefited position. Job duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for the assisting executive chef and banquet chef I the selection, training, supervision and success of all culinary and kitchen staff members. Capable of creating a motivational atmosphere and a cohesive food and beverage team. Actively involved in the daily operation of being a hand on Chef through modeling proper culinary techniques and working along side the staff. Establishes all par levels for food items, kitchen supplies, and all other necessary products needed to operate the culinary department and make sure that the cost controller purchases such items. Responsible for maintaining clean and organized storage areas for all food items and for proper rotation. Requirements: Two year associates degree or a bachelors degree from a four year college desired. Must have a minimum of 8 (eight) years kitchen experience with a minimum of 2 (two) years management experience. ServeSafe Certification required Clear and concise verbal communication skills. Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule. Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration. Must have unrestricted and insurable driving record. Pre-employment background check, survey and references required. Non-smoking candidates preferred.
