Aerotek Fabricator (NOW HIRING) in Thomasville, Georgia

Job Title: Fabricator

Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment products. We are looking for experienced fabricators and welders to join our team. Your responsibilities will include fabricating and welding ASME code tanks and filtration equipment, pipe, and various structural equipment from blueprints and production orders. You will also be responsible for fabricating small assemblies ranging from 3 to 4 parts to 20 to 30 parts. The role involves operating preheat-cutting torch, stud welder, and hand plasma torch, and selecting proper wire, shielding gases, and setting wire feed speeds and voltage to achieve a balanced arc condition.

Hard Skills

  • FCAW, GMAW, GMAW-P, TIG, GTAW, SAW, SMAW and Carbon Arc welding

  • Fabricating and welding ASME code tanks and filtration equipment

  • Operating preheat-cutting torch, stud welder, and hand plasma torch

  • Selecting proper wire, shielding gases, and setting wire feed speeds and voltage

  • Ability to read and understand drawings/blueprints

  • Knowledge of using small tools and a tape measure

Soft Skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Adaptability to changing workload

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Shift

3:30PM to 1:30AM

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Thomasville, Georgia.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing environment with exposure to weather conditions. The environment can be hot or cold depending on the season. Safety is our priority and steel toed boots, long pants, and long sleeves are required. Gloves and goggles will be provided.
