Job Title: Assembly Cell Leader

Location: Thomaston, CT

All Shifts Available : 1 st shift (7am-3pm), 2 nd shift (3pm-11pm_, 3 rd shift (11pm-7am)

Pay : $20-$24/hr, depending on shift and experience

About this Role

The Cell Leader position is an important role on our team and is a great opportunity for those looking to advance their skills. Our plant helps produce thousands of our dispensing products each day. So, it’s important to keep it running efficiently and continuously. The Cell Leader keeps our equipment operational by setting up, optimizing production runs, and performing quality checks as needed for each machine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run high-speed assembly production machines/equipment as assigned.

  • Coordinate scheduled work orders with the shift supervisor and production coordinator.

  • Address material issues and ensure work orders/jobs are staged and ready to run.

  • Alert supervision of staffing issues and work closely with other cell/team leaders.

  • Comply with White Book requirements and conduct periodic audits.

  • Motivate the team and facilitate meetings to accomplish goals and objectives.

  • Maximize OEE’s and Schedule Completions and minimize Changeover Times using lean tools.

  • Oversee the training of team members in the cell to facilitate operator growth.

  • Prepare product engineering/engineering sample requests with the shift supervisor.

  • Ensure effective communication and support team/cell meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Required:

  • Minimum high school diploma.

  • 3-5 years of work-related experience.

  • Strong verbal skills and detail-oriented.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

  • Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment.

  • Time management and organizational skills.

  • Preferred:

  • Willingness to assist other cross-functional groups based on needs.

  • Ability to work independently and be proactive.

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and report data.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Physical Demands (Reasonable accommodations provided):

  • Ability to lift and/or move 35 lbs.

  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the production floor.

  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination, and grasping.
