Digi-Key Electronics Marketing Communications Intern in Thief River Falls, Minnesota

To learn more, visit our benefits and perks page. __ Position Overview:As a Marketing Communications Intern, you will participate in various aspects of the Marketing department of which you are assigned. You will work alongside team members and have the opportunity to complete a capstone project which you'll work on throughout the internship. Housing: Local campus housing (private room, private bath, and shared living space) is provided for interns selecting Thief River Falls as their internship home base. We are unable to provide housing for Bloomington-based internships. This is a hybrid or essential onsite role, which will require onsite attendance Responsibilities: Assist with day-to-day tasks and projects in the assigned department Support the team in their regular duties Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions Collaborate with team members on various projects and initiatives Conduct research and analysis as assigned Maintain organized records of work and project files Assist in ideation and development of a variety of marketing communications messages to promote campaigns, events, and programs. Produce recommendations and assist in development of a communications strategy to increase the external and internal awareness of the DigiKey brand. Demonstrate skills in effective one-on-one and team communications and work with all levels of organizational team members. Collaborate and assist the marketing communications team in planning and executing initiatives that promote the company via earned media strategies, programs, and campaigns. Provide support to external communications and internal communications teams. Capstone Project: Gain practical experience in the assigned department Develop a deeper understanding of DigiKey and how it operates Improve business skills such communication, project management, data analysis, etc. Build a professional network within the industry Learn a variety of areas within marketing and communications. This is a highly visible intern program with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer. Learn how to communicate to DigiKey's stakeholders clearly and effectively on the company's overall business goals and values. Gain an understanding of DigiKey's key, global marketing initiatives. Required knowledge, skills, and abilities High school diploma or equivalent. Must be in college pursuing a marketing, communications, or similar degree Be willing to take the initiative, working independently and collaboratively Demonstrating a positive, collaborativeapproach is important in this role Must be able to communicate clearly at a professional level Available for an internship in Summer 2025 Passionate about marketing, communications, or related field Strong communications, project management and organization skills Must demonstrate the following behavioral competencies: Attention to detail, communication, ethical conduct, initiative, execution, personal effectiveness/credibility, positive attitude, problem solving, professionalism, thoroughness & time management Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
