Digi-Key Electronics Import Trade Compliance - Tariff Coordinator in Thief River Falls, Minnesota

To learn more, visit our benefits and perks page. __ Position Overview:The Import Trade Compliance Tariff Coordinator is primarily responsible for understanding the underlying impact of Tariffs across all areas of DigiKey. The Import Trade Compliance Tariff Coordinator is responsible for understanding all Tariff Processes, and bringing an understanding of regulatory requirements and background information related to any Tariff initiatives or business strategies they are collaborating on. The Import Trade Compliance Tariff Coordinator is a key expert in Tariffs, understanding impact across multiple recovery programs. This position works both reactively and proactively on Tariff policies and procedures to ensure the right processes, tools, and tracking are in place to both understand and measure impact of that Tariff activity. They are also responsible for driving Tariff change notification to appropriate affected business units, identifying impacted products and collaborating with business units to shape both internal and external customer correspondences and experiences. This is a hybrid position and requires regular onsite attendance on Mondays and Wednesdays. Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Enhance visibility and reporting on on-hand liability related to tariffs. Analyze and interpret tariff data to support business decisions. Maintain a mapping of Tariff input and output data across multiple business units to ensure we have an accurate picture of how Tariff data is both used and transferred between business units Collaborate with internal product groups to manage and coordinate tariff changes. Stay updated with changes in tariff regulations and communicate their impact to relevant stakeholders/departments. Facilitate meetings by providing appropriate background and historical information and context around changes to the appropriate stake holders. Develop and implement strategies to optimize tariff processes and minimize impact. Understand and become a subject matter expert on all tariff related processes and initiatives at Digi-Key. Develop interdepartmental partnerships to improve understanding and implementation of tariff procedures. Facilitate growth and education of Tariff impacts throughout all business units at DigiKey. Manage and coordinate tariff projects. Other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Economics, Business Administration or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience, preferred Previous Logistics and Tariff Experience, preferred 5+ years of Trade Compliance or similar type experience 2+ years of experience working at Digi-Key with experience in Sales, PDC, Logistics, Shipping or Customer Service Familiarity with 15 CFR, 19 CFR, HTS classification, Article 98, Duty Drawback, AES, and BIS, preferred Strong knowledge of Digi-Key brand and its principles; the various functions of Digi-Key, how they work together as well as the industry Digi-Key operates in Knowledge of Import Compliance Principles (Antidumping Duties, Countervailing Duties, Section 301 Duties, Foreign Trade Zones, Harmonized Tariff Schedule) SQL Familiarity, preferred Tools, Systems, and Software: ACE FTZ management software FileNet Broker/Carrier Portals WinDECS Lucid Full Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Outlook mandatory) Atlan Sigma Smartsheet Physical Requirements: Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating co puter devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body .
