We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Director of Accounting to join our team. Based in The Woodlands, Texas, you will be tasked with overseeing our accounting department's operations. This includes managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, and making budget forecasts.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and streamline the operations of the accounting department, including the design of a structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

• Ensure all accounting tasks and functions are carried out efficiently and in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

• Manage and oversee the entire process of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

• Use accounting software systems to streamline procedures and create financial reports.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Oversee the preparation and publication of all required financial statements on a monthly basis, including the end of month close process.

• Develop, implement, and maintain budget processes.

• Analyze company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and budget compliance.

• Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.

• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar accounting role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Demonstrated expertise in handling Accounting Functions

• Proven experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficient in Auditing procedures and practices

• Experience in managing Budget Processes is necessary

• Skilled in Month End Close procedures

• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements is required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required; a Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Knowledge of current accounting regulations and standards is necessary.
