Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in the Woodlands, Texas

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. This role is crucial within our finance department, providing both technical and administrative support for our accounting processes. As an Accounting Manager/Supervisor, you will play a strategic role in ensuring GAAP compliance, leading monthly and yearly close processes, and managing a team of Accounting Analysts.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy

• Streamline accounting processes for improved efficiency and accuracy

• Handle the reconciliation of accounts and book journal entries

• Oversee the accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments

• Lead the month-end and year-end close process ensuring all financial activities are accurately recorded and reported

• Prepare financial statements and produce budgets according to schedule

• Maintain accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to supplies and inventory

• Assist with internal and external audits, as well as tax preparation to ensure compliance

• Manage and mentor a team of two Accounting Analysts

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance accuracy Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the Accounting sector.

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.

• Must have hands-on experience with BlackLine and Concur.

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a must.

• Should have a solid understanding of Accounting Functions.

• Auditing experience is required.

• Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Proven ability to manage and lead a team.

• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. Advanced degree or certification is preferred.

• Must have the ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals.

• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

• Accurate and precise attention to detail.

• Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.

• Goal-oriented, organized team player.

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
