We are seeking a CT Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging. This position is Full-Time, varied shift, scheduled 36 hours per week and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package. Location: Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is located in The Dalles, Oregon. We work, live, and play in the scenic Columbia River Gorge, Oregon. Located 85 miles east of Portland in the majestic Columbia River Gorge, The Dalles features old-growth forests, rushing waterfalls, and year-round access to outdoor recreation, including downhill and cross-country skiing, world-class water sports, and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. The area boasts award-winning wineries, and, most importantly, warm, friendly people.
Working under general supervision, incumbent performs the duties of a CT/Radiology Technologist; responsible for performing all CT producers as well as routine diagnostic radiographic procedures for diagnostic purposes in alignment with the mission, values and goals of the organization. Demonstrates safe and effective operation of all diagnostic imaging equipment and processes applying knowledge of principles of radiation safety. Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established protocols to achieve the highest quality image. Explains procedures to patients, obtaining and recording patient histories and consent forms as needed. Properly positions patients with appropriate devices to obtain desired anatomic position. Selects techniques and correct protocols for exams, manipulates reconstructed images using a wide variety of available computer functions to optimally visualize desired anatomy. Reviews, verifies and evaluates images to ensure technical quality and image quality.
Education:
- Graduate of a diagnostic imaging program
Licensure/Certification:
Current applicable state licensure in Diagnostic Imaging and national registration in Radiography and Computerized Tomography ARRT (R,CT) required.
BLS/CPR Certification: Personnel providing direct care in patient care and diagnostic areas are required to acquire and maintain BLS/CPR certification.
Experience:
- Two years previous experience in the appropriate modality field of imaging preferred

Must have a willingness to learn, critical thinking skills, and pay attention to detail.
