The Department of Emergency Medicine,McGovern Medical SchoolatUTHealth Houston is seeking Internal Medicine board-certified/eligible candidates for casual staff physicians in our Hospitalist Division.
McGovern Medical School is the sixth-largest Medical School in the U.S. and first in the number of healthcare graduates in Texas. Our Hospitalist service has a traditional block schedule with 7 days of clinical duties followed by 7 days of non-clinical time. This does include night and weekend coverage which is distributed among all of the clinical team members. Our primary site is located atMemorial Hermann Hospital (MHH)in theTexas Medical Center (TMC).
Position Key Accountabilities:
Responsibilities of the Staff Physician member of the hospitalist team will include providing clinical service efforts at Memorial Hermann, Texas Medical Center, helping to administer and potentially supervise medical care to acutely hospitalized patients. Duties will include clinical care and education of students and residents. Staff Physicians report directly to the Medical Director.
Qualifications:
MD/DO
Board-certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine,
Licensed or eligible for full medical licensure in the State of Texas.
Practice high-quality, evidence-based medicine, in a manner that supports the needs of the patient
Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
