Integriward LLC HVAC Mechanic (RRAD) in Texarkana, Texas

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The HVAC Mechanic shall be responsible for performing routine maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Shall also be responsible for the installation of new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosis, service and repair of heavy commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems.
  • Test electrical currents or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
  • Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.
  • Join pipes or tubing to equipment and to fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form complete circuit.
  • Reassemble and test equipment following repairs.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
  • Layout and connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment, according to wiring diagrams, using electrician's hand tools.
  • Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats and timers, using hand tools.
  • Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
  • Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
  • Must have and maintain Texas HVAC licenses/certifications.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as an HVAC Mechanic. Boiler experience is a plus.
  • Must have knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in the HVAC Mechanic field.
  • Must have a working knowledge and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and driving history must meet company standards throughout employment.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check as a condition of employment and to obtain access to federal installations.

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time. This job is performed in a shop setting, various buildings and out of doors. This position requires driving and working out of doors in extreme heat/cold and possibly rainy weather.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Physical stamina and strength in all its forms (endurance, temperature/climate, stress, etc.) is necessary.
