Job Summary:
The Business Development Representative is a senior level position responsible for leading complex sales projects and initiatives in the water industry. This role involves identifying and pursuing high value sales opportunities, conducting advanced sales presentations, and developing strategies to improve sales performance. The Business Development Representative works closely with cross functional teams to address customer needs, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, this role involves mentoring and training junior sales staff and providing technical expertise to support continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development
• Identify and develop new business opportunities
• Build and maintain relationships with clients
• Create and implement sales strategies
• Meet and exceed sales targets
• Conduct market research and analysis
Account Management
• Manage and grow existing client accounts
• Provide excellent customer service and support
• Upsell and cross sell products and services
• Address and resolve any client concerns or issues
• Maintain accurate records and reports of client interactions and sales activities
Product Knowledge and Marketing
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and product knowledge
• Promote and educate clients on new products and services
• Assist in the development of marketing materials and campaigns
• Participate in trade shows and events to promote company and products
• Provide feedback and insights for product development
Administrative Tasks
• Prepare and submit sales reports and forecasts
• Manage and maintain CRM database
• Coordinate and schedule sales meetings and presentations
• Handle invoicing and payment processing
• Monitor and track sales expenses and budgets

Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field with at least 4 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
• Proficiency in sales tools and software (e.g., SalesForce, CRM systems).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop and implement sales strategies and plans.
• Experience in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Salary range:
$81,000.00 - $146,000.00
