The Child Development Center at Union Health is looking for a team member for the Terre Haute campus. We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, fully committed to providing the highest quality health care experience and dedicated to supporting their team who work in a fast-paced environment. The Union Hospital Child Development Center is a Paths to Quality Level 4 child care and pre-school facility located right next to Union Hospital. The center accepts children as young as 6 weeks old and continues to care and nurture your child until they’re ready for kindergarten.

Aide Essential Job Duties:
Assists all staff in the implementation of a quality educational program.
Has initiative in recognizing routine tasks that need to be done and completes without direction.
Is available to substitute for staff scheduled off.
Never leaves children unattended.
Practices confidentiality and discretion regarding information on children, their families, the center, or Hospital staff.
Performs routine tasks as required in a competent and cooperative manner. Performs, transcribes, or collates recordkeeping as required.
Keeps facility neat and orderly.
Sanitizes frequently and as necessary.
Practices and implements the Union Hospital Child Development Program philosophy by providing quality, nurturant care to children.
Practices a calm, nurturant discipline that is firm but fair and promotes the child's ability to problem solve.
Observes and complies with Hospital policies.
Performs other duties as assigned .
Education, Training & Experience
Prefer work experience and/or a combination of work experience and education in the field of early childhood education.
Display initiative toward job responsibility, dependability, warmth, and understanding toward/of children.
Ability to present oneself as a positive role model in regard to relationships, character, and language.
Flexible to work all shifts.
