Description:

As a collections representative you will be speaking to consumers about resolving past due balances on certain accounts. The accounts that you will be collecting on vary between different clients. For example calls may be about an unpaid traffic ticket, toll road fees, unpaid taxes, ambulance ride fees, etc. Majority of Penn Credit's clients are city, county and states.

• Responsible for assisting consumers with setting up payment plans and resolving past due account balances

• Will be on an automatic dialer taking both inbound and outbound calls

• Answer questions regarding account balances

• Process payments for account balances

• Help set up payment plans

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Open to any type of Contact center experience. Collections is nit required.

Best candidates are motivated to start a career, someone with good tenure in previous positions, motivated to make money through commission. Someone with prior call center experience that is used to being on the phones all day and wanting the opportunity to make more income with opportunity for commission. Average candidates have retail/restaurant experience and are looking for more stability with schedule and wanting to start a career. We have had a tough time in the past with candidates that come from a collections experience so I would stick to sourcing retail/restaurant/call enter folks!

Disqualifiers:

Someone who has only worked in a warehouse setting

Someone who was driving for Uber/Doordash/etc.. they are used to having flexible hours and making their own schedules and the manager at Penn Credit is HUGE on attendance
