Job Summary:
MUFG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design and advocate for end-to-end DevSecOps solutions. As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the evolution of our DevOps practices and integrating security into our software development lifecycle. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with emerging technologies and methodologies to improve our on-prem and cloud-native application and infrastructure deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Collaboration: Mentor other DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Modernize CI/CD practices: Design, implement, and manage cloud-native, containerized, and VM-based deployment solutions using Terraform & Ansible on AWS, Azure, and OpenShift.
Advanced Deployment Capabilities: Develop and implement advanced deployment strategies such as blue-green and canary deployments to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
Security Integration: Integrate security best practices into the DevOps process, ensuring that all deployments are secure and compliant with industry standards.
Automation and Orchestration: Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, testing and application deployment processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, security experts, and operations staff, to align DevSecOps practices with business objectives.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and proactively recommend improvements to our DevSecOps practices.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience equally preferable.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) is a plus.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Minimum of 4 years of development experience with Java, Python, Node, or .Net.
Minimum 3 years configuring and using DevOps pipeline security tools like SCA, SAST, DAST, SBOM, and secrets management.
Minimum 3 years deploying and supporting container applications in Kubernetes (OpenShift specifically is a plus).
Functional Skills:
Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, with a strong focus on cloud-native deployments and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
In-depth knowledge of DevSecOps principles and best practices, including secure coding, vulnerability management, and compliance.
Experience with advanced deployment approaches such as blue-green and canary deployments, feature flags, automated rollbacks, etc.
Strong scripting and automation skills using tools such as Ansible, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira or Confluence.
Foundational Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $138K - $186K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
