Technologist Trainee

Job Description:

As a Technologist Trainee, you will perform complex medical laboratory tests vital for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Reporting to a biochemist or microbiologist, your role involves analyzing laboratory findings to ensure accuracy, analyzing biological material for chemical content or reaction, monitoring clinical trials, and cultivating, isolating, and identifying microbial organisms. You will also conduct tests on these microorganisms, participate in clinical trials of pharmaceuticals, and enter data from medical tests and clinical results into computers for storage. Additionally, you will operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment for both quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Hard Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field.

• 1-2 years of experience in a lab.

• Ability to operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.

Soft Skills:

• Analytical skills

• Attention to detail

• Data entry skills

Pay:

$20-$21 (Depending on experience)

Work Site:

This is a fully on-site position in Tempe, AZ.

Work Environment:

You will be working in a large diagnostics lab with possible schedules including Monday-Friday 10pm-6:30AM or Thursday-Sunday midnight-10:30am.
