ADP is hiring a Director Institutional Investment Consulting.

As Director Institutional Investment Consulting, you will manage both the fiduciary advice products and the staff that delivers our advice services. Advice services include ADP Strategic Plan Services (SPS) 3(21) custom plans, as well as the 3(21) auto-execute service.

In this role, you will positively impact SPS’s success, including sales volume on small and mid-market customer base, SPS productivity and efficiency, and client retention.

To thrive in this role, you need to be highly skilled in the selection of competitive investment products and effective monitoring of existing investment products, leading to increased sales, retention, and profitability of SPS services.

What you’ll do:

Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Manage a group of experienced, professional investment consultants as they provide investment advice to retirement plans as large as $300 million. Lead and develop SPS associates, establish individual performance objectives and provide training and feedback. Recruit, onboard, and train new associates as SPS grows.

  • Review procedures currently in place for the onboarding of clients to the investment advisory service as well as the ongoing delivery of advisory services. Identify areas that may allow for greater efficiency allowing for greater scale of services and establish procedures that enhance the client experience and satisfaction with advisory services, then implement and execute new procedures to address these areas.

  • Manage all aspects of the reporting process associated with the investment performance and performance monitoring of all investments and associated benchmark indices for all managed investment products.

  • Assist the SPS President in the identification and testing of new investment providers, reports, and systems required to report and maintain evidence of fiduciary oversight, as well as in the development of new products and services using SPS fiduciary authority.

  • Act as backup for President – SPS in all fiduciary reporting and regulatory issues.

Experience. You have 15+ years of experience in relevant investment services skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • NASD Series 6 and 63 Securities Licenses

  • Strong leadership qualities and demonstrated success in managing, training, motivating, and retaining investment professionals.

  • Expertise in selecting highly competitive investment products and effective monitoring and reporting of investment products.

  • Expertise in communicating effectively with internal and external clients.

  • Understanding of fiduciary risk and ways to mitigate that risk.

  • Expertise with overseeing the coordination and implementation of fund changes across multiple investment sleeves and ensuring that all changes and other required due diligence are properly reviewed and documented.

  • Experience presenting to senior leaders.

  • Strong experience collaborating with multiple functions/organizations.

  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.

  • Advanced experience in utilizing Internet applications for business.

  • Demonstrated project management experience.

  • Ability to travel up to 15%.

  • You’ll have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

For additional comfortability in the role:

  • Experience with Morningstar Direct®

  • CMFC, CRPS, CFP, or CFA

  • MBA

  • PMP or similar project management certification
