The Role

Our Consulting Practice is looking for a Director, Consulting to join us on our journey to become the preeminent technology services partner to the Global 2000. We engineer modern businesses to improve everyday life. Cognizant Consulting is the Cognizant business analytical and advisory group that drives Cognizant's digital innovation and transformation strategy. Our consultants apply industry-specific domain knowledge and understanding of Cognizant's horizontal solutions to address client needs and requirements, to advise on and shape client strategies, to deliver optimum solutions that delight clients, and achieve client business goals. We work on some of the most exciting projects in the marketplace across our 7 verticals and 3 horizontals. We are looking for pure-play management consulting leaders with expertise in L&A Insurance domain.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead client and Cognizant teams through insurance product, policy, and process transformation engagements
  • Manage client business and technology stakeholders and guide them through transformation and change management.
  • Responsible for ensuring the internal and dependencies are met on the given date, queries to client and external teams are clarified within the prescribed time window.
  • Define the program governance structure, communication model, and cadence.
  • Responsible for overall program deliveries, risk & dependencies
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group to include executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Ability to understand the business issues and data challenges of the customer and collaborate with the team to build and present solutions
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders to determine priorities and critical path items necessary to achieve defined objectives according to plan.
  • Ability to provide expert guidance in the understanding of the insurance product and business needs of the customer
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to generate and deliver informative and well-organized presentations
  • Ability to collaborate with a cross-geo business and technical team when nonstandard requirements / customization requests are identified to provide alternative business solutions and work arounds to meet the client's needs
  • Ability to assist with program management activities such as Identification of project risks and collaborate with the team to implement mitigation plans that follow through to risk closure
  • Collaborate with team members (business, technical, quality) to ensure clarity and understanding of the business requirements, success criteria and outcomes desired by the client.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience as a Business Architect with strong Insurance, L&A domain background.
  • Should have working knowledge and experience with COLI/BOLI and performing business architecture role with L&A clients
  • Experience in managing and prioritizing a product backlog from inception through implementation go live to include full program dependency planning to ensure cohesive delivery across the program lifecycle (Items such as integrations, client led deliverables, etc.)
  • Engage in key account expansion, sales leadership, and internal executive stakeholder partnering based upon an expert understanding of such things as emerging market trends, client business direction, client requirements, evolving regulatory contexts and the feasibility of transformation goals.
  • A successful track record of developing relationships and selling, managing forecasts, and driving an organization of professional consultants in winning business and achieving targets.
  • Experience in building results-oriented, high-performing consulting teams or organizations recognized for excellence.
  • Should own the end-to-end strategy and roadmap for your assigned Agile team, and ensure alignment between roadmap and product-level Objectives and Key Results.
  • Should have consulting skills, including effective communication, expectation management, and results delivery.
  • Deep knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, leadership, and business partners.
  • Execution focused with the ability to distill business needs into a clear execution plan.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, Engineering, or other relevant field (Required)
  • Advanced Degree in Business (Preferred).

Work Authorization

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 06/14/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $[150,000 - 200,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
