Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Graduate Recruitment & Marketing, Graduate Admissions, the position oversees and monitors administrative procedures and practices employed in the processing of domestic graduate prospects, inquiries, applicants and accepted students. Assists in organizing professional and support staff in implementing the university’s enrollment management goals and objectives. Coordinates and performs all aspects of graduate admissions including, but not limited to, recruitment, processing applications, interviewing, and credential evaluation.

The Associate Director coordinates the processing of graduate applications university-wide and assists in providing leadership for the university’s recruitment and marketing plans as set forth by the Director of Graduate Recruitment & Marketing. Represents the Director in various meetings in his/her absence. The incumbent will serve as a liaison to various offices on campus, as well as represent the university at on and off-campus recruitment events. Identifies and maintains partnerships with agencies, alumni and others. Completes a wide variety of graduate admissions and enrollment management projects as assigned by the Director.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree with 3-4 years of senior level admissions experience.

2. Strong oral and written communication skills with team-work orientation to serve as an essential management partner.

3. Proficient with computerized admissions systems.

4. Must be willing and able to work overtime and/or at other FDU locations as required.

5. Ability to travel locally.

6. Valid driver’s license and accessibility to a car.

7. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
