Eaton Corporation Lead Supplier Development Engineer in Tczew, Poland

Our Mobility segment is currently seeking a Lead Supplier Development Engineer for the Casting & Machining commodity

In this role, as Lead Supplier Development Engineer, you will be playing key role in Eaton Mobility business group as lead subject matter expert. Your focus will be development of EMEA located supplier base. On top of that you will be collaborating with internal stakeholders on new programs development globally.

Main responsibilities:

• Works closely with the global SDE teams support new supplier sourcing with onsite quality/technical assessments based on Eaton audit forms and VDA, AIAG CQI standards

• Lead high risk supplier APQP process. Assure flawless launch and on-time PPAP delivery

• Support error proofing in early APQP stage through design & manufacturability reviews

• Lead initial supplier orientation including early APQP Supplier Training Program

• Monitor supplier risk & performance using lagging and leading indicators. Drive systemic quality improvements across dedicated commodity

• Coordinate and execute supplier onsite and remote audit plans

• Support development of dedicated supplier commodity strategy with cross functional team

• Work collaboratively with Eaton functions and suppliers on quality, delivery improvement programs using lean best practices and VAVE approach.

• Drive problem solving on High Impact supplier complains

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Quality or Operations Management from a nationally accredited institution

  • Minimum 3-year experience using quality tools & methodologies (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, Problem solving, 8D, A3, Ishikawa, 5why, supplier onsite auditing)

  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes

  • Subject matter expert for casting & machining commodity

  • Deep knowledge of metallurgy and material engineering

  • Certified auditor - VDA6.3

  • Certified auditor - IATF

  • MBA or other advanced degree

  • Working toward or certified Six Sigma Green Belt

Skills:

  • Ability to work cross-functionally, think strategically

  • Ability to communicate in English as a primary/secondary language

  • Strong interpersonal and planning skills with proven ability to lead change through both direct and indirect (influencing) abilities

  • Ability to operate with wide attitude for actions and recommendations which support the business regionally

  • Ability to deploy strategic quality / development improvements for the region

  • Ability to assess organizational capability
