This is a role that reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the Point of Care (POC) business line. The Head of Global Commercial Excellence will provide strategic leadership and design of the new organization. This position can be based in the US, Canada or Europe. The leader of this organization will have the opportunity and expectation to build a team of approximately 4-6 direct reports and supporting team members that will lead the key activities below.

Your role:

  • Lead the design, development, implementation and ongoing operation of a comprehensive commercial excellence team, including talents, structures and processes, to support the Global Point of Care Commercial Organization
  • Discern, advise and support downstream execution of the global commercial strategy and vision by working with our key markets on actionable tactics to ensure accelerated business growth and revenue
  • Guide and oversee the legacy Global Training team dedicated to delivering optimal training for all levels of sales and marketing personnel focused on: leadership, account planning, solutions selling, informatics proficiencies, launch excellence, basic through advanced selling skills and certifications, contracts / tenders negotiation, and all marketing competencies
  • Create and maintain the appropriate dashboards that would allow for data-driven-decision making throughout the organization. Incorporate POC Command Center synergies as needed
  • Drive the creation of advanced analytics and reporting tools to enhance the ability to identify
  • trends and insights to optimize sales performance. Translate findings into recommendations for sales strategies and tactics focused on key customers, markets and products opportunities
  • Optimize CRM / Shareville utility, allowing us to plan, track and action customer engagement as well as account and sales personnel performance status. Initiate review of Shareville improvements and rolling out mobile app enablement for CRM and other sales data tools.
  • Monitor and manage with commercial teams as needed: "Go Lives", product installations, customer complaints, customer service quality / impact / timeliness
  • Lead construction and delivery of monthly Executive / Board Level report outs and presentations as well as Quarterly Business Reviews with the key country / region teams
  • Capture and discern customer feedback and insights regarding Experience, Products, Software, Sales, Service and Informatics in conjunction with marketing in monthly process and cadence that generate recommendations for improvements and prioritizations
  • Work in conjunction with marketing to obtain customer and competitor surveillance in real-time process; provide report with assessment, strategic impacts and recommendations to optimize SHS POC growth and retention
  • Oversee and manage databases and trackers for customer level `contracts and tenders to insure optimal customer fulfillment, financial achievement and visibility in real time for global POC organization. Work collaboratively with required teams to manage compliance, legal review / approval and price integrity. Provide deal construction, facilitation and execution support as needed
  • Partner with marketing and finance to optimize pricing and reimbursement aspects of all current and launching POC products
  • Collaborate with sales, finance and supply chain on funnel management and financial/volume forecasting including use of Kinaxis, IBP and other required SHS finance and supply chain tools and processes
  • Establish and implement the quotas, variable compensation and incentive plans that align with the company goals, drive increased sales performance and motivation, are are clear, simple, accurate, timely and fair; therefore inspiring and catalyzing all sales teammates.
  • Collaborate with other SHS functions and departments (eg., IT, Finance, SCM, ES, Marketing) to monitor and refine various projects, sales plans and forecasts to ensure alignment with the strategic objectives and operational efficiency for POC
  • Actively monitor all aspects of Informatics Atellica Connect launch in partnership with other stakeholders and team. Establish tracking and reporting framework, methodology and process that captures and retains all contract, product, installation, upgrade, service and finance aspects at the customer level for each and all POC INF portfolio offerings
  • Collaborate with training, sales, marketing and other teams to drive, monitor and support all product launches and new marketing strategic initiatives
  • Drive a collaborative, supportive and friendly culture throughout the organization by eliminating
  • barriers and silos. Foster continuous dialogue and strong relationships with the global sales leaders / teams to discuss and partner regarding market trends, sales performance, KPI status, operations, analytics administrative and reporting issues, product launches and all marketing interfaces
  • Establish commercial PMO team to focus on leading and managing essential, complex projects and process improvements impacting POC commercial strategy, marketing and sales performance, operations and administration. Continue to provide PMO in support of ongoing Indirect Countries Transformation until transition fully completed and services no longer required.
Your expertise:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in the diagnostic, medical technology, or point of care industry, with a proven track record of driving Business or Commercial Excellence best practices and achieving targeted goals.
  • Experience managing direct reports required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to simplify the complex to drive results at different levels within an organization from sales reps to senior leaders
  • Ability to manage upward using fact-based analyses as well as high EQ to influence change
  • Ability to collaborate with different levels, functions as well as different country specific cultures to create a positive impact
  • Anticipation regarding challenges and opportunities externally as well as internal commercial operations, processes and systems
  • Extensive and proven understanding of sales processes, techniques, and methodologies, with documented success in utilizing data, KPIs, dashboards, databases, CRM and other tools to impact and accelerate sales performance
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results
  • Excels at conflict management to eliminate where possible barriers to success
  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute project plans, identify market opportunities, and drive business growth
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to make informed decisions and drive performance improvements
  • Must possess outstanding oral and written communication skills including ability to present highly technical and/or analytical topics in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and market conditions
  • Significant knowledge of IT, software and database requirements as well as industry standards, and best practices in the diagnostic, medical technology, and point of care sectors
  • Able to work remotely and travel as needed (estimated 20% travel required)
  • Experience in commercial strategy including sales training, strategy, pricing, reimbursement and sales effectiveness; track record in leading projects to successful completion
  • Strong aptitude for data, analytics and extracting insights
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and comfortable with ambiguity and evolving priorities
  • Strong change management skills and leadership IQ/EQ
  • Solid strategic planning abilities and business acumen
  • Strong communication and influencing skills and able to clearly articulate recommendations to senior management (C-suite, Regional Managers, etc.)

The pay range for this position is $207,000 - $284,000 U.S. dollars annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as where the work will be performed. The annual incentive target is (30%) of base pay. Siemens Healthineers offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.
