As our next Design engineer, you will be responsible for the research and design of a company’s new products, processes and systems. Your will performs various tasks in an engineering department including drafting blueprints, creating test prototypes, project management and overseeing implementation to the manufacturing process. What You’ll Do
Designing manufacturing processes and products
Assessing product usability and safety in compliance with the BIC safety standards
Writing reports and presenting results to pers, managers and potentially customers
Design new engineering products and processes
Analyze prototype data and retest if needed
Research new product ideas and methods
Improve existing products and processes
Maintain accurate records
Write detailed reports
Find creative design solutions to problems
Presents and / or proposes prototypes and designs
Working with clients and colleagues to develop a design brief
Using mathematical knowledge and skills to design solutions
Researching whether the design will work and be cost-effective
Assessing and testing the usability, environmental impact and safety of a design
Using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) software to create prototypes
Collecting and analyzing data from tests on prototypes
Managing the development process, including tracking progress and costs.
You will be partnership with R&D and reporting to Operations Director
What We're Looking for in You:
You will be working across Operations sub departments, you need to have experience in: Quality, Production, Maintenance, Logistics and Safety
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Accurate and strong attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Office and popular design software.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Strong maths skills
Technical skills, including experience using specialist software
A creative flair and design ability
Good visual and spatial awareness
The ability to solve problems
Project management skills
Time management and organizational skills.
Industrial Engineer degree
Fluent level in English
High level in Office tooling (Excel, Word, etc.)
Experience 3-4 years in similar position
Experience in process engineering is a plus
