The Role

As a key player in our organization’s digital transformation journey, you will play a critical role in revolutionizing the global financial ecosystem. You will have the opportunity to make data-driven decisions, build first-in-class corporate solutions, and partner with industry-leaders to build cloud-native products and solutions for our clients.

The Commercial Solutions Business Analysis team is responsible for utilizing data, insights, and research to define and drive the Commercial Solutions strategy across the globe

The Head of Commercial Solutions Business Analysis Vice President will oversee several key teams and functions for the Commercial Solutions Organization.

o Business Insights and Reporting – Drives business analysis priorities for Commercial Solutions, owning deep assessment of business KPIs and development of strategies to mitigate risks or supercharge growth based on insights. Owns, working with Data Science organization, the automation of key KPIs and self-service reporting. Incorporates those insights and strategic assessment of results into MBRs, QBRs, Investor Narrative, Management Committee, and Board materials. Supports in data and strategic assessment of product strategies in partnership with product leaders, enterprise strategy, new payment flows strategy

o Go to Market and Competitive Intelligence – Drives development of regional go to market strategies that ladder to a set of global strategic growth levers. Assess and analyze growth fundamentals of region and develop market archetypes to differentiate execution approaches. Partner closely with regional leadership to support analysis and execution of strategy. Support regional assessment of financials and forecasting to support budget processes. Own competitive intelligence with regional and product leadership to support needs requirement of business growth levers and value proposition for sales/product conversations

  • This person will be a key partner and advisor to Commercial Solutions leadership and partner teams in defining the future of our business (i.e., defining strategy and growth levers, setting targets, advising on market trends, reporting, etc.)

  • This person will support internal c-suite reporting, Board, and Investor Day Materials

  • They are ultimately responsible for the optimization, availability, and acceleration of metrics reporting and insights across the organization working closely with data science teams to execute

  • They will shape consistency in Commercial’s data and reporting management, applying “best practices” across product sets, functions, and regions; point out potential gaps in the data investment portfolios of the businesses and functions and support/drive consideration of ways to address gaps

  • Partner closely with product, finance, and regional teams on initiatives to define and execute business growth strategies

  • This person will be a people leader and will be responsible for developing, attracting, and retaining talent on the team

All about you:

  • Bachelors degree, MBA preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in management consulting, strategy, or analytics functions

  • Experience building business strategy, data and analytics functions, or leading significant transformations of existing practices

  • Experience working with or for a corporate or financial institution (nice to have B2B payments / Transaction Banking experience)

  • Strong people leadership experience managing teams of 5-10 resources

  • Proven experience in defining and execute business strategies with clear results

  • Proven experience in building, managing, and scaling business analysts and data specialists across multiple geographies and products

  • Experience partnering closely with cross-divisional leadership to objectively define and access data, drive actionable insights and proactively enable decision making through analytics

  • Defining, developing and implementing advanced analytic processes within high-growth organizations, creating methods and tools for consistency and standardization

  • The ability to work collaboratively with others in cross-functional teams to implement and assess the operational impact of changes to process and procedures

  • Comprehensive knowledge of data visualization tools

  • Sharp analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent power point and story building skills to communicate key messages and influence at all levels of leadership

  • Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
