The Record to Report Global Process Owner (R2R GPO) organization is looking for a dynamic individual to help shape the future of the Finance organization. As part of Citi Finance’s transformation program, R2R GPO is charged with leading Finance’s efforts to provide accurate information of the highest quality to our customers, shareholders and regulators. R2R processes are comprised of those sets of activities that begin with defining and establishing appropriate data standards and ensuring readiness for consumers, standardizing the accounting and processing of transactions to financial systems, implementing a comprehensive set of integrated financial closing processes, which then culminates with instituting common and optimized financial and regulatory reporting processes. R2R processes are the starting point for a majority of Finance activities and serve as a feeder to other global processes and areas of consumption.
To fully enable our target state reporting processes and controls, reporting governance is a critical imperative. The Financial Solutions Senior Lead Analyst for reporting policies will be a key enabler of strengthening the governance and control framework.
Codify Reporting Policy and end to end governance framework to strengthen controls supporting regulatory and management reporting
Design common framework, attestation, key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for policy adoption and compliance monitoring, working with different stakeholders across businesses and locations in driving execution
Monitor conformity with the policies across geographies, functions, and lines of business, including consistent interpretation and adherence to policy guidelines
Drive the development of policy implementation guidelines and compliance checklists where needed
Centralize and own the KPI and compliance metrics reporting and work with stakeholders to remediate any identified gaps
Create periodic stakeholder attestation processes based on policy requirements
Establish interaction models with the different levels of control defenses in Citi, integrating feedback from independent reviews into the overall policy and governance framework
Stand up appropriate governance or oversight committees as required by policies
Manage and interact with cross functional teams including the Chief Data Office, Global Functions Technology and other key stakeholders
10+ years of experience working in the finance industry, experience in Finance, Reporting, or Governance is a plus.
Designing and implementing appropriate policies, standards and procedures covering reporting activities, including experience writing global policies and associated governance models.
Coordinating global Committees and Forums, with senior finance and shared services stakeholders.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, with the demonstrated ability to work effectively across a wide variety of people across functions, regions, and seniority to deliver results
High energy, self-starter with a flexible and pragmatic attitude and a desire to show continued progress
Ability to manage competing priorities, synthesize complex concepts and large quantities of information in a complex and dynamic environment
Intermediate project management skills or experience in complex systems implementations preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or related field. Masters degree a plus.
