The Senior Technology Lead is responsible for "Data Strategy" stream of "Recon Transformation" program. Recon transformation is a significant initiative and one of the important work streams within, Data Strategy. We are looking for a highly motivated, senior experienced lead with a passion for data and with the ability to drive "Recon Transformation" program on our Big Data Platform. This job involves being part of a dynamic team and contributing towards software development components within the next generation Big Data Platform. The ideal candidate will have an eye for building and optimizing data systems and will work closely with our systems architects, data scientists, and analysts to help direct the flow of data within the pipeline and ensure consistency of data delivery and utilization across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This role will require to create a solid team of data professionals (15 count) who will work with different LOBs and Tech team to define & standardize the interface . The position will also be responsible to work with Ops/tech counterpart in bringing consensus.

  • Work closely with the development teams and drive the build out & implementation for North America

  • The successful candidate will be working closely with the Data Strategy team, to interface the business, translating business requirements into technical requirements and will have strong functional knowledge from banking and financial system.

  • Accountable for all phases of development process – analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation in agile development lifecycles

  • Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Regulatory Applications

  • Align to Engineering Excellence Development principles and standards

  • Demonstrate ownership and initiative taking

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience, Master's degree preferred

Skills & Experience required:

  • 10+ years of experience in the banking domain

  • Work Experience in Capital/Regulatory Market

  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience

  • Previous experience with Regulatory domain would be a major plus

  • Understanding of financial ratios and their practical implementation would be good to have.

  • Good data analysis, designing experience and the ability to slice and dice the data as needed for business reporting

  • Ability to work independently with general guidance

  • SQL query development experience with Big Data / Hadoop, Oracle

  • Prior experience with recon or standardizing regulatory project would be an advantage

$130,880.00 - $196,320.00
