We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Library Assistant. Responsibilities include supporting students and faculty in need of library resources and equipment, processing new books and materials and maintaining stacks and collections. Assists students and faculty with locating materials, researching items, and checking materials in/out. The assistant also offers technical support for technological resources and equipment.AGM University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSOrganize library resources and make them available to users.Registers and update patrons’ records so they can borrow materials from the library.Sort books, periodicals, and other items and place them in designated areas.Provides technical support for students using computer laboratories and other technology.Help students and faculty use resources and library equipment in the LRC.Assist in preparing booklists, posters, exhibits, and handouts.REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in education or related field.Two (2) years of related library experience required.Knowledge and experience in technical applications.Knowledge of how to use and integrate the Microsoft 365 software and other technological tools.Ability to use online databases, internet, and traditional print resources.Excellent customer service, interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills.Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.Ability to express themselves effectively, verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English.ABOUT AGM UNIVERSITYAna G.
