Title: Front Desk Charge Registered Nurse - Operating Room Location: FL-Tampa-St. Joseph's Hospital Job Number: 222110

The Operating Room Charge RN responsibilities include:

• Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills

• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team

• Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization

• Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members

• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we strongly prefer at least 2 years RN experience in Operating Room. Prior experience running the front desk of the OR preferred.

Required Experience includes 18 months acute care experience or 18 months Interventional/Procedural. Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship. Required Education: BSN or BS Healthcare related field or an RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification. Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid.
