The Salvation Army Case Worker - 31547 in Tampa, Florida

Must have the following to apply:

  • Two years of college coursework from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or related field, and
  • Two years experience working in a social or public service environment with experience assisting the public, or
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Valid State drivers license required

**Job Description: This position is responsible for providing social service assistance to eligible clients.

Duties and Responsibility:**

  • Interviews clients to determine needs and eligibility to receive assistance and/or eligible for the Pathway of Hope program
  • Ensures compliance with program policies and procedures; monitors assigned caseload of clients
  • Prepares client records
  • Establishes program plan/goals and evaluates client's progress by conducting routine meetings with client and/or staff
  • Serves as advocate for client in order to acquire services that will enable them to functionally cope with their environment

**Work Environment: Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
