Citigroup Business Risk Group Manager - C14 - TAMPA in Tampa, Florida
The Global Governance Lead is accountable for providing governance support and leadership to the Facilities and Critical Facilities RES functions, working on regional and global initiatives to embed a strong governance framework to identify, anticipate and mitigate risks that could negatively impact RES objectives while minimizing the Operational Risk events and losses.
Leads and directs a team of 3rd party program assurance office professionals, providing oversight, insights and reporting to ensure the FM and CF teams remain compliant with Citi processes and procedures. Requires a comprehensive understanding of the functions supported and the principles of how Governance frameworks and requirements operate.
Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate and influence internally, often at a senior level. External communication may be necessary. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a third party team including budget and contract management.
Responsibilities:
Provides end to end governance support to the Facilities and Critical Facilities functions (FM/CF) and their senior leadership teams.
Establishes and oversees the application of operational and governance processes and procedures to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks
Establishes and directs communication, planning, process oversight, and reporting with RES functional leads in relation to all governance needs.
Integrates key strategic initiatives with specific business plans to achieve near-term and longer-term objectives.
Assists in assessing current status of relevant regulatory related controls.
Identifies best practices to be shared with RES Global Functions and Regions.
Develops and maintains governance tracking metrics for management reporting and escalation.
Understands Building and Critical Systems' Operations and the significant regulations which governs them.
Manages the provision of the FM Program Assurance Office via third party, overseeing performance vs contractual obligations and the management and coordination of all associated non-employee’s on the account for Citi.
Acts as key SME and coordination point for audits, risk and control and all other compliance engagements, ensuring requirements and communication to RES functional teams are clear and understood.
Support the RES functional FM and CF teams with their core business objectives, ensuring that governance is a core consideration on any changes and transformation objectives.
Looks to develop and improve reporting insights through use of tools and engaging with the PAO and GSO teams to drive through efficiency and automation
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
10+ years experience in Risk and people management
Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary.
Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
