Citigroup Business Risk and Control Officer - C13 - TAMPA in Tampa, Florida

The Finance Controls Operational Risk Management team within the Chief Operating Office of Global Finance is responsible for the design and implementation of risk and control frameworks that span the Finance function globally. These Finance Control Programs assist in the identification, quantification, measurement, management, and reporting of risks to enhance controls in governance, risk management and internal control environment.

The Vice President will assist in supporting these risk frameworks including relevant policies and procedures and engage with stakeholders as relevant. The role will involve heavy engagement with stakeholders across Finance and Second Line partners to promote strong risk management practices across the Group.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the processes and procedures that support the risk frameworks in scope for Finance Operational Risk team, such as, Risk Identification, Lessons Learned, Lines of Defense, Business Continuity, etc.

  • Compile, assess, reconcile, validate, and manage complex and dynamic data from multiple sources including underlying associated information in adherence with established criteria/thresholds applicable to the program.

  • Monitor and track deliverables to ensure timely completion. Discuss and/or escalate issues/gaps and assist in providing solution where possible.

  • Ensure alignment of Controls Programs to maintain adherence to Firm policies and procedures established by Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Operational Risk Management (ORM).

  • Prepare and consolidate data/reports for Senior Management and relevant management committees.

  • Collaborate with and influence stakeholders both in first line and second line functions to ensure credible challenge.

  • Participate in working groups as appropriate, and support department and team initiatives and activities, as assigned.

  • Assist with coordinating materials/responses to 2LOD review teams and internal audit requests.

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years relevant work experience in Risk & Controls functions, within the financial services industry preferred

  • Ability to think critically and make decisions based on available data and experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

  • Ability to interface with various levels of management both in Finance and 2LOD and 3LOD.

  • Ability to build relationships and work with cross functional teams and multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and perform under pressure with tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work in an environment that is not yet in a mature state.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$103,920.00 - $155,880.00
