Overview:

The Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC) is a five-member commission appointed by the Governor. The FGCC is charged with investigating and enforcing Florida pari-mutuel and gaming statutes and rules.

The FGCC is searching for a Systems Programming Consultant WT:SharePoint and Web Developer to support the Agency websites, and intranet (SharePoint), various COTs and SaaS solutions, as well as dashboards and graphic design to meet growing needs. This position will support existing applications as well as the development, deployment and support for applications used by FGCC. This position reports to the Enterprise and Strategic Applications Manager. This position is not eligible for telework.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Designing and updating content on the Agency Internet website in a timely manner.

  • Designing, configuring, and updating the Agency-wide Intranet presence on the SharePoint Online platform.

  • Managing a governance plan for team sites and build a hierarchy for all additional subsites.

  • Maintaining SharePoint site structure and utilizing site templates to allow consistency for the new Intranet.

  • Provide guidance and help implement SharePoint workflows and user permissions management such as Members, Visitors, and Owners.

  • Develop and add new and appropriate features to the new Office365 SharePoint sites as requested.

  • Provide SharePoint administrator support.

  • Provide training for SharePoint, and web and technology resources.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Agency dashboards.

  • Troubleshoot advanced technical issues related to SharePoint.

  • Develop, code, test, debug, install, and document other websites or applications as needed using Agency standards.

  • Administer the Web Team’s domain registrars and web hosting accounts, domains, and certificates.

  • Manage and configure SSL certificates.

  • Ensure security of all Web sites and related applications.

  • Adhere to regular Web site maintenance policies and procedures.

  • Provide recommendations and guidance related to compliance and accessibility according to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.

    Minimum Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience related to the duties of this position. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, can substitute for up to 2 years of experience.

  • Sufficient experience in the Duties & Responsibilities described above can be considered to satisfy any of the minimum requirements.

  • Experience in web design including deployment, configuration, and support.

  • Experience with SharePoint administration including design, development, training, and support.

  • Experience with dashboarding and graphic design.

  • Quality Assurance of services provided and have a continuous improvement plan.
