Aerotek Quality Technician in Tallahassee, Florida

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will be a part of a quality team, playing a crucial role in inspecting received parts, parts coming out of assembly machines, and those being shipped out. You will also be responsible for inspecting recalled parts from customers. Your duties will include the use of tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gages for inspection, and Microsoft Excel for creating charts, graphs and for reporting and documentation. You will also operate CMM for critical dimensions and layouts and use MS Excel and MS Word to collect and analyze data. Furthermore, you will be involved in quality control procedures, gauge capability studies, product quality maintenance, and preparation of quality documentation and reports.

Shift:

2nd Shift - 2/3pm 4:30pm- 12:30am

3rd Shift - 10:30pm-6:30am

Qualifications:

  • Usage of Gages, micrometer, calipers

  • Troubleshooting problems

  • Machine operation

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

  • Experience in operating CMM for critical dimensions and layouts

  • Knowledge of quality control procedures

  • Ability to conduct gauge capability studies

  • Experience in maintaining product quality

  • Ability to prepare quality documentation and reports

This is a Contract-to-Hire position

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Tallahassee, Florida.

Work Environment

You will be working in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility. The facility operates with due consideration to safety, having had no OSHA recordings in the past five years. It is important to maintain this safety record. The environment involves the smell of manufacturing (oil), and it can be loud due to machinery operations in certain areas. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
